Marlian President Azeez Fashola popularly known as “Naira Marley” have reportedly been arrested with his manager for breaking the lockdown restrictions, after performing in a concert in Abuja. The Nigerian Police arrested and took him to the Lagos State Special Offences (Mobile) Court which they charged him for flatting the interstate travel orders. With this charges, the Nigerian singer and his manager Seyi Awouga has plead guilty and is expected to pay a fine of 100,000 each.
Earlier this year, it is recalled that Naira Marley performed in a concert in Abuja, with more than 20 persons attending without social distancing neither face mask, thereby breaking the lockdown regulations as instituted by the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC). The concert anchored by ex-BBN housemate Kim Oprah was held at Silverbird Entertainment centre. Although Oprah indicated that it was suppose to be a drive-through concert, video clips from the concert showed fans leaving their cars to the stage without face mask or any form of distancing.
We would recall that the 26yr old Nigerian singer was also arrested earlier this year for attending a house party organised by Nollywood actress Funke Akindele after violating the covid-19 regulation.
